Taking a case before the Iowa Supreme Court, Iowa Court of Appeals or the federal appeals courts requires a thorough understanding of the applicable law, as well as a working knowledge of written brief preparation and oral argument. Our firm has handled numerous appeals of cases where we represented the client at trial, as well as cases that were referred to us after trial. Via our representation of agricultural associations, we have filed amicus curiae briefs for the Iowa Supreme Court and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals on precedent setting agricultural legal issues. In addition, we served as co-counsel on an application for a writ of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court.
